| by Jyles I agree that Mr Fishburne is a vastly underated actor. His screen presence and general coolness are well known. I have been a fan for along time. I am also a big fan of Samuel Jackson's. I first saw Mr. Fishburne is Apocalypse Now, but the same year he did a small bit part in another cult favorite The Warriors. It was a small 10 second walking part and I have not been able to track down any info that even acknowledges him even being in the movie. He is awsome and I hope he gets recognized for the scope of roles he has played. Comment on this... |

| by Hatshepsut I've been following Laurence Fishburnes' career since cornbread earl,cowboy(w)pee-wee herman,deep cover etc...to name just a few of his great acting works,"othello". By far this young man is so under rated as not just a black actor but an ACTOR period,"apocalypse now,cadence etc". My god," he's our present sidney poitier ".I'd say, and then some.I saw the brother once @the African Market Place in the early 90's walking alone shaved head and eye-brows I wanted to introduce myself and let him know of my admiration too, thank him for his artisty yet, my shyness was my lost that day.I still admire him and now that he's married I applaud he and his beautiful actress wife. Hopefully if not this year soon and very soon the brother will get his JUST DUE...nothing against Samuel Jackson,Denzel Washington,and other lime-lit-lighted brothers but come on Hollywood see talent@ it's best and reward it justly!!! | by Robert Eugene Emanuel Mr. Fishbure is an intense actor with incredible abilities. It is time for him to win the Oscar he deserves. Heaven knows that I wish I knew how to contact him...not that I'm anyone special, a poor boy with a lot of talent and nowhere to go...but I think that he and Angela should light up the big screen again. "Mississippi Justice." Is perfect fotr them. An African American lawyer in 1956, hired by a poor lady (Angela) to sue the Klan after they rape her and kill her father! Is that Hot or what.
