David De Keyser
David De Keyser portrays Emmanuelle Sonnenschein, who left his tiny Hungarian village and began the family saga of SUNSHINE. De Keyser is a distinguished British actor who has appeared extensively in films, television and theatre, playing a wide variety of roles. His many film credits include Ben Gurion in Golda, opposite Ingrid Bergman; King David, Yentl, Doctor Fisher of Geneva, The Ploughman's Lunch, a Touch of Class, Leo The Last, A Dry White Season, Leon the Pig Farmer, The Doors of Memory, The Designated Mourner and Simon Magus.
On the British stage he has played a variety of roles performing in some of the great classics to works by the most modern of British playwrights. He has appeared in works by Shakespeare, David Mamet, Arthur Miller and David Hare. Perhaps one of his most memorable stage performances was in 'Duet for One' with Frances de la Tour for which he won the Critic's Drama Award for Best Supporting Actor. He went on to recreate this role on the BBC. David de Keyser has made numerous appearances on British television in a wide variety of roles, ranging from comedy to historical dramas and documentaries.
