Matthew Davis
Likened by many to a young Harrison Ford, Davis received critical acclaim for his edgy, breakout performance as an aspiring writer who gets shipped off to war in Joel Schumacher's Tigerland, in which he starred opposite Colin Farrell. He then starred in MGM's comedy hit, Legally Blonde, as Warner, Reese Witherspoon's 'boyfriend-you love-to-hate,' for whom she travels to Harvard.
Further adding to his reputation as a big screen heartthrob was his starring role in 2002's surf/romance, Blue Crush, in which he played a pro-football quarterback with whom Kate Bosworth falls in love. Davis made a bold departure from such roles in the Merchant Ivory production of Heights, in which he starred opposite Elizabeth Banks, James Marsden and Jesse Bradford.
Born in Salt Lake City, Utah, Davis' career ignited after a short stint in New York theatre productions led to his feature film debut in Urban Legends: Final Cut. His other credits include Miramax's Below, a WWII supernatural thriller written by Darren Aronofsky and directed by David Twohy; Lone Star State of Mind, with James King and Joshua Jackson; and the Jerry Bruckheimer/Michael Bay blockbuster, Pearl Harbor.
Davis currently resides in Los Angeles with his two red-nosed pitbulls.
